If you or a member of your household have a disability and find some day to day tasks difficult, your home may need aids or adaptations.
To get your home adapted you will firstly need to contact your local authority’s First Response team to arrange an assessment with an occupational therapist; these details can be found in the factsheet below.
The assessment looks at different aspects of your life, including your home environment, your ability to take care of yourself and complete daily tasks, and the support you have from people around you.
For more information and to find out how to contact your local First Response team read our aids and adaptations factsheet.
If you need any help contacting your First Response team, let your neighbourhood manager know or contact us on 0300 303 7333.
