Category: Retrofit Project of the year
Project: Greener Homes for Redbridge
The project was recognised as an innovative and successful way to eco-retrofit older homes to reduce their carbon footprint. This is the project’s third award following its success at the Architect’s Journal Retrofit Awards 2010 and a highly commended win at the Inside Housing Sustainable Housing Awards 2010.

This award recognises outstanding contributions to affordable housing. Adler Court, a development of 15 one and two bedroom apartments, has succeeded in providing affordable and desirable homes for local Newham residents available as part of the Rent Now Buy Later scheme.

Project: Greener Homes for Redbridge
The Sustainable Housing Awards celebrates projects and organisations that demonstrate the very best in housing sustainability. The Greener Homes for Redbridge project refurbished 20 older street properties achieving a reduction in carbon emissions of up to 80% and an average reduction in fuel bills of 44%.

The housebuilder awards recognise the leaders in housing innovation. Talkback Thursdays is when the Development and Asset Management team visit our developments, talk to residents about their experience of living in an East Homes property and ask them to complete a survey. The information received helps East Thames to improve their design guide and the developments they build.

- Regeneration and Renewal Awards – Grand Union Place for Housing-led Project of the Year
- Civic Trust Awards – East Thames Head Office received a commendation under this environment award scheme recognising the difference this build has made to local people and their communities through the design and facilities provision which have made better places for people.

- Commended for the LDSA (London District Surveyors Association) Building Excellence Awards for Best Sustainability Project in recognition of the high standard of construction and workmanship.
