‘Somewhere to sit out’ is known to influence the degree of satisfaction that residents express about higher density living. This section is concerned with the need to deliver both private and public open space and examines some of the options.

What proportion of homes have access to a roof terrace?
What proportion of homes have access to a balcony?
What size is the balcony (4m2 is a preferred minimum)
