Final agreements confirmed for Olympic Village affordable housing
The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) confirmed today that, as announced last month, it has now entered into final agreement for the Triathlon Homes joint venture company to purchase 1,379 affordable homes on the Olympic Village development. The signing of terms for affordable housing concludes the agreement-in-principle announced by the ODA and Government last month.   more...

New approach needed to prevent re-offending among young people
A new approach to working with young offenders to tackle re-offending has been recommended by a panel of experts following a six-month study. A report published on Tuesday 17th June by a multi-disciplinary steering group recommends a new, holistic model for preventing re-offending using Young Offenders` Academies, and proposes that a pilot Academy is set up in east London.    more...
