John Lewis and East Thames sleep out success

We were joined by staff from retail giant John Lewis’ Stratford City department store to raise an impressive £3200 (and still counting) in a sponsored charity sleep-out over the weekend.

Over 30 dedicated volunteers slept rough for the night on the terrace of our head office in Stratford to raise money for our charitable arm East Potential.

New research has revealed that Londoners’ belief in the legacy value of the Olympics is improving, with 83% believing that it will have a lasting positive legacy for Stratford, and 79% for east London.

With just over 100 days to go, 76% think the Games will benefit London overall in the long term, and two thirds (65%) believe it will leave a lasting legacy for the UK, with Stratford residents being the strongest believers.

This week sees the completion of the first apartment, which will be used to set exemplary quality standards, in a new £70m development by East Thames Group and First Base in Stepney Green.

Calling our Customer Contact Centre on Saturdays

From 7th April 2012 our Customer Contact Centre will be closed on Saturday mornings and calls will be taken by our out of hours provider.

We receive a relatively low number of calls at this time and using our out of hours provider to cover this period will save us money which we can spend on other services for our residents.
