Services and accommodation for older people

East Thames provides specialist support services and accommodation for older people, ranging from floating support and domiciliary care in your own home, to supported living accommodation and extra care homes.
We offer more than accommodation and care - we also focus on helping you to rebuild your skills and achieve your goals to live more independently.
Your care and support is provided using personalised plans that give you control over your life and enable you to make decisions about your support and achieve your personal goals, such as rebuilding skills, managing your finances and taking part in your favourite social and leisure activities.
Types of support available
Supported (or sheltered) living schemes
Our supported living schemes offer a range of supported accommodation options ranging from weekly visits to more frequent support and out-of-hours emergency response.
They are generally for people needing a low to medium level of support who can live safely without supervision for longer periods of time. As our schemes are staffed according to resident's needs, we also welcome people with more intensive needs requiring 24 hour support.
Extra care schemes
Our extra care housing services provide 24 hour support for people with higher level needs requiring more intensive support for things like medication, cooking, cleaning and staying safe.
Who is eligible?
Most services accept people aged 60+ and those aged 55+ with a medical or social need.
