Our values

Having a safe and decent place to live is important for everyone. We are driven by the desire to create better homes, better neighbourhoods and more opportunities for people in east London and Essex.
We have four core values which drive everything we do.
1. We will be customer focused
This is our number one value, because it is most important to us. We want to provide good services and products that are valued by our customers. We also want to be an organisation that is open to feedback and allows customers to have a say in the services we provide and how we do so.
2 .We will be ambitious
We want to make a big impact in east London and Essex, so ambition is important. This approach has seen us take on large-scale regeneration projects such as Barking Town Centre and Grand Union Place in Tower Hamlets. And it’s seen us tackle wide spread economic deprivation through innovative back to work schemes.
3. We will be professional
We work closely with a wide range of partners, including local authorities, police and health services, developers, builders and many more. We believe our professionalism is vital for these partnerships to deliver a good outcome for our customers and the community.
4. We will be leaders
As one of the largest providers of affordable homes in east London and Essex we think we should be leaders on the things which matter to local people. For example, we’ve led on initiatives to reduce homelessness in London, and we’ve become a leader in providing foyer accommodation for young people aged 16-24, including young parents, who are often disadvantaged and at risk of being homeless.
