Rents and service charges

**Message to residents**
May 2013
Every year we review all our rental charges to ensure our rents meet the target rents specified by government.
As part of this review, we recently identified that rents for 146 of our residents were set too high. We have written to all affected residents to explain the overcharge and our plans to reimburse those affected. We would like to apologise to all residents affected by the overcharge and assure you that all our rents now meet government guidelines.
Paying your rent
We want to make paying your rent as quick and easy as possible. The rent you pay funds important services such as repairs and maintenance and managing your housing, so it's really important that you pay on time.
Here are a range of pages that help you pay your rent, offer assistance if you are having problems paying your rent and also explain your service charges in more detail.
What are service charges?
Service charges are part of your tenancy agreement and outline the annual costs of maintaining your building and communal areas on your estate. The charges cover things like garden maintenance, cleaning communal areas, and health and safety checks. Find out more here.
