East Thames Group is the largest housing association operating in east London and Essex. We manage more than 13,500 homes and we are members of the G15, a group of London's 15 largest housing associations. We are also one of the top 40 housing associations in England.
Our mission
We are much more than a landlord: our mission is 'to make a positive and lasting contribution to the neighbourhoods in which we work'. We are committed to working with and serving local communities, and developing sustainable, cohesive and happy neighbourhoods.
Our subsidiaries
We are a parent organisation with three main operational subsidiaries:
- East Homes is a resident-focused organisation that offers a wide range of affordable housing options to people in east London and Essex.
- East Living runs more than 80 care schemes across east London and Essex, providing residential and respite accommodation and floating support to about 2,000 people with particular needs.
- East Potential is a social and economic regeneration charity working across east London and Essex to empower local people to fulfil their potential, create a brighter future for themselves and make a contribution within their communities.

Great design
Last year we developed nearly 750 homes for rent and low-cost home ownership and we are widely recognised for the quality and design of our homes. We are also heavily involved in the major regeneration taking place in the run-up to 2012.
Serving the community
We provide care, support and accommodation to more than 2,000 people with particular needs - including people with mental health needs, people with a learning disability, older people, women seeking refuge from domestic violence and young people who are homeless or in need of support.
We also work to improve opportunity and quality of life in the area - from employment and training programmes, to arts projects, to greener living events.
