Shyam Kerai, L&Q Apprentice of the Year 2017

  • Apprenticeships are at the core of the Academy offer

In April 2017, apprenticeships in the UK changed - apprentices can now be of any age and apprenticeships range from level 1 up to higher degree level qualifications at level 6 and 7.

Our apprenticeships have been designed to help you to get your foot on the ladder with an organisation that supports you from beginning to end and beyond. The programme aims to provide individuals with on the job experiences whilst working towards gaining a recognised qualification.

The Academy manages and delivers our apprenticeship programme by commissioning quality training providers including FE colleges, who are best placed to deliver training for our apprentices. We only work with those who hold OFSTED grade 2 or above -  and we regularly review the performance of our providers and seek to secure new high-quality providers whenever we need them.

“Our apprenticeship programme offers people, including our residents and others living in our communities, a way to gain the skills and experience needed to secure, sustain and grow a career with L&Q. It is a genuinely life changing offer.”

    John Bryson, Head of Academy
